antivirus repair window pops up when I open Word 2000

Whenever I open Word 2000 (in XP), a window pops up that says "Norton
Antivirus 2005 does not support the repair feature. Please uninstall and
reinstall." I can eventually open Word, after this happens 3-4 times. It
makes no sense that this pops up only when I open Word. Is there a way to
take this out of the Word program? Thanks for any help!
