I have a start date cell and an end date cell (job received and job to be
completed by date). All I need to do is set up a condition that will change
the font and colour of the end date cell if the date entered is +3 days from
the start date cell, thereby warning me that my current job is now 3 days old
and needing my immediate attention. However, if the end date cell is +4 days
from the start date I need that end date cell to change to a different colour
than the +3 cell. Basically all I'm after is a basic 'traffic' light (red,
amber, green) cell that will tell me warn me that a job is outstanding. Any
ideas?

microsoft.public.infopath is not the place to post challenging Access
questions. Access gurus can be found in microsoft.public.access or one
its 20 or so sub-groups.

You might get a better response from one of the Access newsgroups.
Look under Microsoft.Public.Access. There are many to chose from!
