Any one know about grouping Arrows?

I cant group screenshots with arrows and it's driving me nuts

I am trying to write lessons in MS Word - which amongst text includes
screenshots + arrows pointing to the rellevant icons

trouble is - each time i edit the document the whole 10 pages of pictures &
arrows goes outta wack

normal method is hold shift, select the objects you want to group,
right-click/group

but Word doesn't seem to allow grouping with 'arrows' & 'diagram'

Anyone know a solution?


to compound the problem - these are within a table
