any process causes windows installer to start

D

dbf

I am running xp home and just upgaraded to office 2003.
Each time any new process is started (any explorer window
opens, any window opens, each time outlook connects to
checks or downloads mail) the installer window shows and
then disapears. Also, the update feature on microsoft.com
will not go above 40% before stopping.

I was able to remove office XP with the 2003 resource
kit. The add/remove from control panel, would not do it.

Any suggestions on how to get installer to stop with
every process? Everything works OK now. But, it is really
annoying.

My suggestion would to remove all Offices and Resource Kits then reinstall
Office 2003. If Works w/ Word is install, you will need to remove Word as
well.
