Any way to apply a filter automatically upon opening a file?

I've created multiple consolidated project files to view our project plan
from different viewpoints, using different Gannt bar formatting and by
applying different filters. However, if I want someone else on the team to
see the same view, I have to explain to them to open the file and apply a
special filter. This doesn't go over very well. Is there way I can have a
custom filter applied automatically when the file is opened?

Hi Jumpinjackflash,

You can create a new view or modify an existing view and specify a filter as
part of the view. (View > More Views to get you started.)
I have found it easier to explain how to switch views to new users than have
to explain filters.
If you save the Project file with the view applied, when a user opens the
file, it will open to that view.
