We keep a rather large spreadsheet of clients and our progress with
their jobs in Excel. Unfortunately, someone opened it up and sorted
only a few of the columns (instead of sorting the entire spreadsheet).
Then, they saved it. In other words, here is an example of what
happened:
Job #
Client
Job Name
Progress
1
Joe Blow
Billy Bob's Chicken Shack
Needs to be finished
2
Jim Dandy
Kim's Sushi Store
Completed
3
Calvin Hobbes
Big Boy's Comic Shop
Not started
Someone highlighted Columns A, B, and C and sorted them, so now Column
D is not in sync with the rest of the columns. Is there any way to fix
this, or are we screwed? Please help if you know of any ways to undo
the sort, and re-sort it so that it is correct again. This is an
example of the way it looks now:

NOTE: I wanted to create my examples as HTML tables, but I can't figure
out how to use HTML tags in these forums. Instead, you will just have
to imagine that each set of four lines is a row, and that each line
within that set is a column. Sorry.
