any work around for 2007 word crashing?

Evidentally 2007 Word crashes a lot (for me everyday). Does anyone have any
solutions. My pc is only 4 months old. Plenty of space. Have my save time
set to 1 minute. I'm a medical transcriptionist and everytime it crashes I
loose information and money. I should have purchased a MAC
