Anybody having Cursor freeze up when using word 2003?

Every time I use word 2003 to either edit or write a new document I will be
doing fine then I get cursor freeze up espically when I back space or start
adding a new line or word when I've deleted the old stuff. I have tried
everything I know from reloading office, to updates, to programs that are
suppose to fix cursor freeze up...nothing has seemed to work. It almost seems
it's a conflict between office 2003 and my AMD chip. Any comments...
