Anybody receive the message file unavailable when they try to ope.

All of a sudden my Word 2003 stopped opening files giving the message "File
<filename> is unavailable". I can't find anyway to remedy this. I tried
uninstalling and completely re-installing the microsift office student
edition i have but this didn't help. Anybody have any ideas?

Disable the Office Plugin that comes with Symantec/Norton AntiVirus.

Is the <filename> still at the location you are trying to open it from?
This is particularly a problem when you use the most recent file list at
the bottom of the File menu.
Moving the file is not reflected here and so a new open fails.
