Anyone seen an Asian--Chinese--Release of MS Office 2003 Pro?

I am seeing what looks like a legal copy of MS Office Pro 2003 intended for the Aisan market being sold on ebay--w/bids anywhere from 250 and up. Sellers claim these are English language versions that don't require activation...anyone know if these versions can be used in the US?

If they do not require activation, they are not legal copies, period.

Milly Staples, thanks for responding so quickly. That's nearly confirms it
for me...I should add that these copies are packaged the same way as US
versions and come w/serial numbers and so on--according to sellers
anyway--product can be activated but for some reason the asian release does
not require it--I don't about that stuff but I'll take your word over
ebayers! Side note...I should like to know how ebay would permit illegal
copies of software to be sold from their site--shame on them.

They try to police the auctions on their site but there is so much "grey
market" goods being traded that they have their hands full.
