Anyway to make notes in word docs?

I've got a few word docs that I don't want to print out but rather
read on my monitor. I want to be able to make notes in the margins and
stuff. I noticed this webpage on the Microsoft website that shows
exactly what I want for Office 2003, but I THINK it's only for Tablet
PCs, which I don't have nor want.

There's an image there with exactly what I want.

Any ideas if there's a plugin for this, or if there's a way to do this
in Office 2003?
