anyway to undo "Save" in Word?

I accidentally saved a new document over an old one and lost the old.
Does anybody know about a way to undo "Save" in Word?

Does anybody know about a way to undo "Save" in Word?

Too late for you now, but if you notice straight away you can keep
doing "undo" to get back to where you want, then save, then "redo" to
get back to where you are now, if you see what I mean.

There is (I believe) a backup facility, but you need that activated to
get the backup back.

As far as your current predicament goes, I'm not sure that there's an
answer. That said, I'm sure the experts will be along shortly to
correct me!

Thank you all for your help and turning my attention to turning on
"Always Make Backup". Too late for this time, but I sure did it turn it
on for preventing future loss.
