hi guys,
i have this software with 3 tables.
the customer was adding lots of data into it and everything was going just
great.
the file is now about 11 MB.

anyway i have this problem now,
1- if i try to "compact and repair" the file, after i open it i'll get this
message : 'AOIndex' is not an index in this table
2- if i add a record to one of the tables ( just one of them is causing a
prob) after i reopen the file i'll get the same problem : 'AOIndex' is not an
index in this table

so the file will be damaged for sure.
thanks god i have a backup copy that i'm doing my tests on it!!!

but what can i do now? why is this happening to the file? what is wrong?

waiting for ur help and advice

thanks in advance.

Check out the extensive database corruption FAQ at

http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm

You'll probably need to create a new database and import all your
objects into it - this AOIndex message indicates that your systems
tables are themselves corrupted.

when i try to import the data to another database i get the following message:

"the microsoft jet database engine stoped the process because you and
another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time"

althought the file is closed and no one is using it.

still some of tables and forms will be imported while others give the
message mentioned above. it's like something is stucked there

what do u think ??
plz help

That your database systems tables are corrupt.

The error message you're getting often appears when there is actually
some other error - a "bogus" message. You might try deleting the .ldb
file with the same name as your .mdb, but since you can import some
things I'm not hopeful that will help.

Again... your database may be ruined. Salvage what you can; follow the
steps in Tony's website link that I posted; hope for the best; and
start keeping backups.

Also try the Jetcomp utility. As mentioned somewhere on my website.
There is a list of other things you can try too.
