APA style format template

I am trying to make a template for APA style papers . I am all new at this
and having a very hard time - HELP!

First, you don't have to reinvent the wheel. You can download a
template from http://www.apastyle.info/content/view/13/31/ or a number
of other places you can find by searching Google.

If you want to learn about making templates -- a worthwhile exercise
but more than just a one-day effort -- start at

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CreateATemplatePart2.htm.
These aren't specifically about APA style, so you'd have to know what
changes to make.

You'd probably also want to learn about macros in order to automate
the common processes such as formatting references -- start at

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/UsingRecorder.htm, and

There are also more than a few commercial products available that are
APA templates that include various types of code for automatically
generating APA-style reference entries, citations, and page and
paragraph formatting. Most are in the $25-$50 price range.

Since I'm a developer of one of those, I won't mention specifics, but
you can google for "APA Style software" and check them out. Most
companies offer free trial versions.

Could be a heck of a lot faster than trying to write your own.
