API for microsoft Office Suite

Hello guys,

I'm looking for a free API to manipulate Microsoft Office Suite ( Word,
Excel, PowerPoint etc...). I can't afford the official microsoft license. Is
there something else I could use? I'm also trying to stay away from
OpenOffice.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm, if you have MS Office, you have VBA. Press Alt-F11.

If you don't have MS Office, uh, what exactly did you hope to manipulate?

To be more specific, I'm looking for a way to export Office documents to html
without using the Office Api ( I can't afford it). Is this possible?

I seem to be missing something here .... any Office App that can create
documents can also create them in html ... so where's the problem?
