My email attachment documents are substiting ’ in for the apostrophe.
Can't find out why or how to correct this problem. Please help! D

it's a font encoding issue with the mail clients and servers. there isn't
much you can do to control it, other than fix it when you save it or not use
apostrophes in the file names.

lJust out of curosity, Diane, do you have any idea why this would have
started all of a sudden? I started experiencing the same problems 'out of
the blue' several weeks ago. I'm using Outlook 2003 under XP as well. And it
appears to only be an issue when sending/receiving emal to web-based clients
(e.g. Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.) The message goes out okay, but any reply from
the recipient (and subsequent replies from that point on) has the extraneous
characters in place of apostrophes and elipses.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
