I want to capture the current path for any project I open. I know I
can create an auto_open for my projects that will capture the current
path. However, I want to be able to capture the current path for ANY
project I open.

Help talks about "using events with the application object" (which
sounds like what I want) but I don't know how to execute the steps.

To reiterate the scenario - somebody sends me a project file. I save
it to a folder on my hard drive. I double click to open it. When I do
that, I want to capture the current path to that file. It seems to me
that the code needs to reside in the application object but I am not
familiar enough to assess.

Anybody know how to do this?

activeProject.FullName returns the full path and name, so where and when do
you need this information?
