Appearance of bullets

I am creating flow charts using Visio 2007 and importing them into a Word
2007 document. The first flowchart contains some boxes with bulleted text.
The bullets appear okay when the flowchart is printed out in Visio. However,
when I import the flowcharts into Word 2007, the bullets change format
(sometimes little boxes, sometimes u shapes) when seen in print preview and
when printed out). The bullets look normal in edit mode and when I open the
Visio drawing from within Word. The weird thing is that I have about 10 flow
charts imported into this word document and only the first flowchart shows
this behavior.

Have checked bullet format tab in Visio, but the bullet format shows the
same for all flowcharts.

Suggestions?

How are you importing into Word? Are you copying and pasting or Inserting
it as an object using the Insert > Object command. What printer is set in
Word when you preview and what is the default printer set to on the machine?

Try changing the default printer to a couple different printers and
re-start Word, then check Print Preview each time you change default
printer and re-start Word.

I used the Insert > Object command. Have viewed document using default
printer at work location and at home using my home default printer - each is
a different type of printer, but no difference in appearance of bullets.
Please note that I am only observing this issue on the first Visio insert,
but not the others. One more observation -- each time I open the visio
drawing (from within Word) and close it, the bullets change to something
else, almost look like the wingdings character set. Currently, the bullets
look like little chevrons. Again, only on the first visio drawing, but not
the others.
