Appearance of default entry cell (cursor) ? - how to change border color ?

Jeff

I cant seem to easily see where the cursor (entry cell) is at any
given time in my xls sheet. The borders of the cell are in pale
yellow, so it makes it very hard to see where the cell/cursor is at
any given time. How do I change the border color of the default
cursor/entry cell in xls ? I want this to be a global change for any/
all sheets.

Many thanks
Jeff

Excel gets its highlight color form the value in the appearance panel in
system preferences. So, when you change this value it will not only be a
global value for all Excel worksheets, but also for everything else in your
system. Change the value here and restart Excel. The cell's highlight color
will be changed.

Bob,

THANKS. I would have never guessed or found that on my own. I got
the color changed so its now much easier to see. Any way to further
bold or increase the thickness of the border of that entry cell ? (ok,
I may be asking for alot on that one :))

One more Q: Is there a way to set the default / global "zoom" %.. to
say always come up at 150% zoom for all files/sheets ?

No, sorry. As far as default zoom, you can make a workbook and/or worksheet
template that will be the model for all future workbooks or sheets. Look in
help for "Template" it will tell you how to do both. Post back inf any
questions.
