I created a table in SQL Server and linked to it. I was able to append data
to it using Access 2007 as the frontend. It looked at first like the data
appended ok however the attachments in Access 2007 are not accessable. I
appended only the Access attachments that had one document per field and made
sure to choose the DATA portion of that field to append. SQL Server has the
IMAGE datatype so I am thinking everything is ok. However when creating a
form or simply opening the linked table it gives me a message "A problem
occurred while MS Office Access was communicating with the OLE server or
Activex controle. ".... then some stuff about closing the OLE server and
restarting it, then go back to access. I do this on an OLE object field that
I know contains an attached doc. When I try to go to a record with no
attachment it says it is empty which I would expect.
Thanks,
