Applescript and Word 2008

When I try to record an Applescript in Word 2008, nothing happens. According
to Applescript help, this means Word 2008 is not scriptable. I'm running OS
X 4.11. Do I need to upgrade to Leopard or is there another solution?

If that's what Applescript Help says, it's wrong.

Not all (or even most) Applescriptable applications are recordable.

You're right - it says it's not recordable, not that it's not scriptable.
Sorry about that. I guess that answers my question.
