AppleScript Entourage 2004 vs 2008

Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Hi all,

I'm writing an application for the mac that now supports both Entourage 2004 and 2008.
There is only one thing that I was wondering. Has applescript become slower in 2008? For the exact same scripts, I get the response in less than a second in 2004 while in 2008, i have to wait anywhere from 2 to 9 seconds to get my response.
Is this a known issue?
