AppleScripts activated from a toolbar?

Hello

I'm wondering if it is possible to have AppleScripts activated from buttons
in toolbars?

I can't see a way to do this in "Customize Toolbars & MenusŠ"

However I could very easily have missed it.

Maybe there is some other way to do this?

If not I wonder if there is a third party thingmy that would do this?

Thank you.

You didn't miss anything, it's not in Customize Toolbars. No way to do
it in Word/Office. Be sure to use Help | Send Feedback to ask for it. I
believe the issue is that being able to attach a script to a toolbar
button causes security holes, because toolbars can be stored in
templates and circulated. I would settle for being able to show the
script menu in Word as a separate script-only floating toolbar, even
without the other toolbar features for usual commands, myself (actually,
I also think Apple should allow me to check a box and show the system
script menu as a floating toolbar)

I haven't heard of third-party toolbar utilities in general, but I could
have missed them easily enough--I guess you could save scripts as apps
and put them in the Dock or carefully manipulate a Finder window to be
visible and accessible. Maybe DragThing would qualify? allowing multiple
docks--you could have an Office dock to store scripts on.

You can assign keyboard shortcuts, but you probably know that.

Yes, this last point, that Apple should do this, would be most excellent
imho.

Now that we have very large screens I'd really like it if Apple made the
whole menu bar across the top one that could be torn off and turned into a
toolbar system perhaps a bit like Word's "Toolbox" or the excellent toolbar
system of ClarisWorks 4.0.

These are all good possibilities.

As of course is that one.

Thank you for your assistance :)
