Applet Won't Run!

G

G.Bramfield

I'm trying to open a Java Applet in FrontPage 2000. The Applet is located
on my local hard drive. When I open my web page, the applet does not
open/execute. When I put my cursor over the applet area, the message on
the task bar says that the my applet could not be located. The applet is
properly named, i.e. applet.class, paying attention to proper case. Also,
the applet.class file is in the same location as the web page that
references it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards,
Gord.

Check the security settings of your web browser. FrontPage may or may not
be respecting them. Running an applet from a local hard drive is a security
hole. If your sure it is safe, there is no harm in reducing the security in
order to accomplish it. Just remember to put the security back when you're
done.
