Application Crashes while saving!!

I have an application that was written for Windows95 and uses Access and
Excel 97. It now needs to be upgraded to XP. I can get everything to work
EXCEPT for the Excel 97 interface. I an open old reports, create new
reports, change, print and sort. I just can't SAVE, it causes the entire
application to crash. Any thoughts?
