Application Error when adding pictures to gallery

Windows XP, SP2, FrontPage 2002, stand-alone PC

When I click on the Add button in Photo Gallery Properties, I get the
following message:

FRONTPG.EXE - Application Error

The instruction at "0x7c80979d" referenced memory at "0x00dc0ad4". The
memory could not be "written".

Click on OK to terminate the program

Any ideas as to what might be wrong and how to fix it?

Open FrontPage, but don't open a web site.
On the FrontPage toolbar, click Help and then Detect and Repair.
