Application error when trying to copy large section of text in Word

Hi all,

when trying to copy the large section of the content of
the table that is over 2 pages in a word document to
another new word document, I get the error message below
and then word is crashed, Can anyone have any ideas of
the cause of this problem and advice me how to get it
fixed (MS Word 97)

"Dr Watson for Windows NT

An application error has occured
and an application log is being generated.
WINWORD.EXE
Exception: Access violation (oxc0000005 Address:
0x3000a694)"

Hi Kim,

It sounds like you might have some corruption in the orginal document or possibly a corrupt printer driver.
1.Try launching Word with the /a. To do this go to Start>run>and type in winword.exe /a and say ok. Try copying and
pasting he material, do you still get the crash?
2. If you still get the crash do a "save as" on the orginal document and save it as a .rtf, close the document, reopen the
document and save it as a .doc.. Now try doing the copy and paste, do you still get the crash?
