Application Error

I and some of my colleagues are getting the following
error message in Excel 2000 and
Word 2000 usually when we attempt to close the
application. Our IT staff don't seem to be able to help.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing it?

---------------------------
The instruction at "0x77a5f4b6" referenced memory
at "0x00000008". The memory could not be "read".


Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
