new to office

I recently updated windows xp and in process could not access any files.
After reloading program I finally got system running agian but now am
recieving WINWORD.EXE application error. The application failed to
initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click to terminate....

This occurs for all office applicationa. How can I correct?. I have aready
deleted previous program and loaded new program but with same results. Any
help?

Thanks for trying to help but I have tried numerous times to install the SP1
service pack and it does not install. What else can be done?

Your system must have Windows XP SP2 so you can't install SP1a.

To correct your Office problems, I suggest do Detect & Repair of Office
from:

Help, Detect & Repair.

If you have MSOCache folder on your system then it would correct and
reinstall all missing files. If you don't have the MSOCache folder it
would prompt you to insert your original Office CD in the drive.
