Application Event Errors

This essentially relates to WSS ( I think) but posting here in hope.

At some point aftere rebooting the project server the application event log
details a series of errors which repeat every minute. I can stop these
errors by stopping the Windows Sharepoint Services Administration service.
What is the implication to Project Server 2007 by doing this (I have not
seen any problems to date)?
What is the implication for WSS?

The error loop is ID 6482, 7076, 6398. Initially this would occur twice and
the above service is stopped by the system. An item in google suggested this
problem related to .Net2 framework issue (kb923028) and a hotfix was
available. I applied fix and problem diappeared for a day but has now
started up again. Same ID sequence, but different description.

First time around 6482 error was:
Application Server Administration job failed for service instance
Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.Administration.ProjectApplicationServiceInstance (0fb2d9f2-1876-48dd-959c-77c5031ef721).
Reason: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80005006

After patch 6482 error is:
Application Server Administration job failed for service instance
Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.Administration.ProjectApplicationServiceInstance
(0fb2d9f2-1876-48dd-959c-77c5031ef721).
Reason: COM object that has been separated from its underlying RCW cannot be
used.

Any insight would be appreciated

Re-provision the Central admin site.
1. Run the Post Setup Configuration Wizard and unprovision the Central admin
site.
2. Run the wizard again and provision the central admin site.

Reset the password for the account using which the Sharepoint services are
running.
Also go into the central administration page->Operations->security
configuration->Service accounts
Select the application pool and reset the password for the account

Thanks for that.
How do I access the post setup configuration wizard or better still where
can I read up on it.

Resetting the password has implications for a number of other environments I
have - is it essential?

Any ideas as to what provokes this and is likely to re-occur?

Thanks

Mike
