I have isolated this problem to a specific Web. It cannot
be recreated in a diffent Web. The problem can be
recreated using two different Win2K based machines.
Interestingly, It cannot be recreated opening the same
Web from a Win98SE machine with FP2000. The problem
happens on both the local copy on my Win2k machines or on
the copy on a unix FP server exention based web that is in
production.

OK now I have version 2002 of the FP Extentions. I am
still getting the same problem. Should I consdier
Uninstalling FP2000 again, this time removing the
directories and registry entries?
-----Original Message-----
OK, I'll give that a shot. I did the following:

- Deleted all .tmp files that I could find.
- Within the FP shell I deleted the temp files from the
Tools option.
- Deleted all .web files.
- Office SP3 is installed so the Update Site refused to
reinstall it.
- I uninstalled and reinstalled IE 6SP1 (what a pain in
the a.. it seems that applied Win2k SPs remove the
Repair/Uninstall option from Add/Remove Programs. Had to
do a special uninstall from within \pro..
files\i..e..\uninstall etc.)
- I have no FP add-ins
- Found and deleted CMDUI.PRF

I will try your link.

Thanks for you help.
John..

Get the latest FP SE from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp? url=/library/en-us/dnservext/html/fpse02win.asp

| I have tried the first 2 things including removing and
| reinstalling FP. My OS and IE should be up to date, I'll
| recheck that. This seems to have happened after I
| installed the FP Server extentions, albeit from the
| original Win2000 CD which is four SP's old. Then I
| uninstalled them and reinstalled them from a Win2K SP3 OEM
| CD.
