Application Launch failure

After intalling the new updates 11.3.0 to MS Office 2004 for Mac I have
3 applications that say:
The application "Eye-One Match" could not be launched because of a
shared library error:
"<ProfileReminder><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_NavigationServices><>"

Upon startup and MS office products will not launch either. It seems
the update has caused some corruption. I'm running a MacBook Pro
10.4.8. Any ideas????

Have you repaired permissions and restarted? See if that sorts it.

What is the application "Eye-One Match"?

Yes I have tried everything. Spent a few hours with Mac support and the
only solution was to erase and reinstall everything. No more MS
products on my macs.

Sorry I forgot to answer your question. Eye-One is a monitor profiling
software package to make sure the colors your monitor shows are
acurate.

No intent to defend MS, but if there is a problem on startup it has nothing
to do with Office. Further, whatever the conflict is, *it* is most likely
preventing Office from running right just as it is preventing the Mac from
running right. Until the actual root of the problem is resolved you are
quite likely to experience other problems regardless of whether you keep the
MS software installed or not.
