In an Access 2007 database I have forms that I use to collect and process
information. Typically the routines are invoked by clicking a command
button. Some of the processing takes a bit of time, so I use an hourglass to
indicate to the end user that the information is being processed. Access,
however, seems to subvert my intentions by displaying a "Not Responding"
message at the top of the form. When the routine(s) finish the "Not
Responding" message goes away, but it is very annoying when it occurs. Is
there any way to stop Access (or Vista, if it's the culprit) in displaying
such messages?
