Application quit unexpectedly

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel

I am running Microsoft Office 2004 on my Macbook and it has worked fine for 8 months. All of a sudden, last week, anytime that I try to open a Microsoft application (word, excel, powerpoint), the application will not open and I get a message that says:

! The application Word (or Excel/Powerpoint) quit unexpectedly.

Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.

Click reopen to open the application again. Click report to see more details or send a report to apple.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!!

That would normally be due to bad preferences or a missing Update.

Because it is affecting all three applications, my pick is a missing update.

In Entourage, go to the "About" Item in the Entourage menu, and tell me what
it says on the Version line, just below the logo.

Cheers
