Over the years this topic has been beat to death...
And I still have never seen a straight answer as to why the
Application_Startup function in Outlook (using 2003) does not function
as defined in Outlook help.
The most popular solution noted is that one is required to start Macros
manually each time Outlook is started, which of course goes against the
definition of the Application_Startup function, which is that it's
designed to start 'on it's own' when Outlook is launched.
The second most popular answer is to create a COM Addon...which I'm
working on...but the add-on still needs to run a routine automatically
when Outlook starts...without me being required to hit a button, or
anything.
To clarify my situation...
* I do have a signed digital certificate located in the Trusted Root
Certifacation Store...not just a simple signed certificate.
* I have the security level set it's lowest level.
* I have no sideline applications that startup Outlook without my
knowledge.
* I still need to start the Application_Startup function by hand each
time Outlook is started up.
Any helpful answers?
