Apply CMW file after Custom

P

Ponch

Hello,

I need to deploy office 2003 on my network.
I do this with (windows2003) group policy.
First i created a MST file(Custom Instalation Wizard)with some changes,
after that i deployed
office 2003 on my client pc's.
Everything is working fine.
My question :
If i want to make changes to my original installation,
i make a CMW file with the Custom Maintenance Wizard.
After that i start the following command on my client pc:
Maintwiz.exe /c "\\Myserver\office2003\New Maintenance Data File.CMW" /qb-
This is working, but can i push this changes also via group policy?

Thanks,

Hi Ponch,

If I understand correctly you deployed Office 2003 by GPO using the process in the Office 2003 Resource Kit
http://microsoft.com/office/ork/2003?

If so, the process choice basics for the Custom Maintenance Wizard and the Profile Wizard are here.

Down near the bottom of that page is the link for 'Managing User Configurations by Policy'

Don't forget to update your original TRANSFORM to match the changes you made
in CMW otherwise your new settings won't be in effect when you eventually do
a clean install to a new PC.
