Apply custom folder views to ALL folders

Here's a scenario… In Outlook you have the Inbox folder and then multiple
folders underneath it for sorting/storing e-mails. Is there a way to
configure the Inbox (or another) folder to the view format you want (column
sizes, reading pane off, NOT showing in groups, etc.) and then apply that
view format to ALL the other folders underneath the Inbox?

I ask because I recently had to create a new Outlook profile and thus had to
reconfigure each folder one at a time and it’s quite a pain.

I dislike this as well.

Instead of modifying the current view of a folder, you create a custom view
for that type of folder.
Diane Poremsky outlines it well in her book, an excerpt of which can be

I get there in Outlook 2003 by:
View-->Arrange By-->Current View-->Define Views
This is different than 'Customize current view'

I agree that this is a major annoyance of Outlook. You want some way to
inherit a view and/or to apply a new view to a set of selected folders.
Strange that they don't have this.
