Apply Filter Error Message

Antonio

This is a reposting of a question from Feb 20 on the
Forms Programming board....

I created an access database on a machine running windows
xp. Security is running through a mdw file located on a
server. There are several work stations throughout the
office that will have acces to this database. I was
testing the new db on a machine that is running windows
2000 professional and I am getting the following error
message on most of the subforms loaded in the new db.

"You cant use the apply filter action on this window."

I have several sub forms loaded on a tab control
throughout the database.
I dont get this error on my xp machine
though. I dont undetstand what is causing this error
message to pop up. Whats more, I cant see what it means
in terms of the data on the form because I can still see
what I entered into the form previously.
I really really really appreciate any help someone could
offer.
TIA
