Applying a Theme to a Slide Presentation

Hello,

I have a company presentation that I use and wanted to apply it to an
outline that I created in Word and sent to PowerPoint.

I have the template (POT) file in My Templates. I also saved it as a Theme
(THMX) file and placed in the C:\users\user name\App
Data\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes\TMX folder. I applied this theme to
my Word to PowerPoint presentation and the correct "corporate" look is there.
However, the fonts still show the default Times Roman and not the Arial font
that is saved with the template / theme file.

Is there a way to update the presentation and change all the text to the
Arial font (similiar to the Updated Style option in Word) or do I have to do
this to each text box individually?

I was able to figure out the theme process from all the great feedback in
the forum.

Thank you.

Glad you were able to get started with themes, Mkate. They're such a new
feature, they do take some getting used to.

When you created your theme, did you adjust the slide master and layouts?
They're actually part of the theme. If you go to View | Master | Slide
Master, you can specify the body font for the text placeholder and the
heading font for the slide titles. (In the font dropdown, these are the top
two fonts. It will say "Headings" and "Body" next to the font names.) Once
you've done that, your slides should update to reflect that change. Then
just resave your theme so it includes those new settings on the slide master
/ individual slide layouts.

Make sense?
