Applying color causes Entourage to quite

When I am using Entourage on my new iMac (intel chip), whenever I apply
a color to the text of an email, it quits every time. I am running OSX
10.4.6 and Entourage 11.2.3. I tried trashing Office and reinstalling
from the CD and applying the 11.2.3 upgrade but I still have this
problem.

Any suggestions? Anyone else have the same problem?

Hi,

yes, we've had one or two similar reports here; the problem seems to be
caused by the latest QuickTime update (7.1), and it only affects some
machines. There is currently no workaround, short of reinstalling the OS and
not applying the 7.1 update. There will most likely be a patch for QuickTime
at some point, so you might want to wait. Sorry, that's all I can tell you
right now.

Thanks for the info. Sometimes it is good to know that nothing can be
done. I guess I'll just wait for the next QT update.

Just a FYI, yesterday I posted on another thread that 7.1.1 update for QT
came out yesterday and should fix this problem.
