Applying feedback to customized page.

J

John Van Gorder.

Hi folks, I got some good answers yesterday but none of them seem as if
they'll work. So let me ask again:
I am trying to find a way to get the posts that are entered into my feedback
forum to appear on a custom page of my own. In other words, I'll have a page
that is strictly for submitting posts and then another where they are all
displayed. I tried one suggestion which was to choose insert/web
component/included content/page and then choose the feedback
private\feedback.txt page. But since this is not in HTML, it will not allow
that option. I'm not experienced with this stuff and would appreciate any
help.

Thanks, John.

That is why I suggested that you go with the guest book component which is designed to do what you
want.

Thanks Thomas..... the only problem with the guestbook option is that it
automatically puts the responses on the same page as the submission form.
There does not appear to be an option for relocating those responses to a
customized page. I don't want the responses on two different pages. I just
want the form on one page and the responses on an entirely different one.
Perhaps you know of a way around this?

Thanks, John.

Thomas..... there is an option in form properties to send the feedback
responses to any location. I chose my custom page. A dialogue box came up
saying that the feedback could be read publicly if I chose to do it that way.
That's fine because I want it all to be read publicly. Do you think that will
work ok?

Thanks again, John.
