applying postage to mailers

Is there a way to buy postage online and include it on a printed mailing? I
recently did a tri-fold brochure for 500 address and had to buy and apply 500
stamps.

What I found out is that you can get a permit though the USPS, but still
haven't found if I can print the official permit logo on the brochure.

Only 500? I recently mailed out 1800. I labeled and stamped the first 300
and then my mom offered to do the rest for me. She did it in 3 hrs. Go Mom!
Not bad for a retiree. :)

Well I have to admit I kept my 8 year old daughter busy as she is on summer
break. BUT, she got paid for her efforts! I figured out I can do a mail merge
in Publisher which saved me from having to print address labels. I've yet to
find out how to print the USPS Permit logo which would eliminate needing
stamps altogether.

I don't know if you can. Have you checked at your local post office?

(My mom worked for free. She offered and I accepted. Moms never stop helping
their kids - even tho those kids will soon be celebrating the 31st
anniversary of their 19th birthday.)

I don't have a site, but I know the routine. You buy a permit which
costs X number of dollars, then you pay the PO Y number of dollars,
based on how many pieces you are mailing. As long as you have the money
in the account, your pieces get mailed.
