Applying Template That Has Two Slide Masters

Using Powerpoint 2003, I have created two different templates each having
two slide master both named default design and Non_Bulleted Text. Each
template has different color schemes but text layouts and names of two
master are the same.

Is there any way for me to be able to apply a design template having same
names of two masters as current presentation template and get Powerpoint to
automatically apply each slikde master in new template to the appropriate
slides that bear the names of these masters? Hope I am clear. Right now, I
see the program renaming the new masters without giving opportunity to
replace both masters and thus change all slide looks to their appropriate
master quickloy. thanks again.

Exactly right Steve. Very well put. Yes, it would be nice if PowerPoint
templates like Word templates could be applied in this way where masters
with same name can either override present masters or have them added to the
presentation without overriding. And, if you do override present masters,
have the changes ripple through each slide that is associated with those
masters. Looking forward to hearing more form others and thanks.

Not sure if my reply got through or not so posting again. Yes, you are
correct in understanding what I am saying. We should have an option to
override all slide masters bearing same names, not just to override the
defualt slide master and then have to manually apply other custom slide
masters that have been renamed when applying another template to
presentation. Hope this can be done some way but like you I see no way to
do it. All I did was make sure that my default slide master applies to most
of my slides and cujstom slide masters aplly to just a few in comparison and
then manually apply custom slide masters when wanting to change templates
for presentation. Thanks again and hope others might comment.
