Appointment Notifications going to the wrong person

A secretary(1) has rights to another user's calendar (2) (Publishing Editor)
She creates an appointment on the calendar (2) and invites attendees. A
different user (3), not an invitee, is receiving all the accept/decline
notifications. I have removed all shared access from the secretary (1) to
the extra person (3) receiving the notifications.

Check mailbox #2 to see if they have more than one delegate set up. Also check #1 for its delegates.

Apparently the users had assigned the secretary as a delegate to their email
accounts and thus created some sort of weird loop whereby someone was
receiving notifications that were not intended for them. I had seen this
kind of thing before with Novell's GroupWise. This was the first instance of
this type of problem with Outlook. Thanks for the answer!
