Appointments Bypassing Inbox

Client is using Outlook2000, for some reason any appointments sent to him go
directly to the Calendar where he can double click and do the 'accept' or
'decline' thing but the messages never show up in the inbox notifying him
there is a new pending appointment.

I've checked the Optinos/Calendar Options/Resource Scheduling and it is NOT
enabled.

Any thoughts on this one?
