appointments disappear

When someone puts a Calender Entry it disappears when they try to look for
it next time and while trying to re-enter same entry it says that there is a
conflict with the appointment so it seems that the entry is there but not
visible.

Can anybody help me on this.

Try resetting you Calendar View;
View-> Current View-> Customize Current View-> button Reset Current View
