Appointments invisible from October onwards

B

Boppy

Please help me! Last night I had a full calendar of appointments all
the way out to 2010 and this morning all I have left is a few non-
categorised appointments.

I can still see all my September appointments in each of their
categories. But from next month onwards, there are no appointments
other than a couple without any categories.

Doing a desktop search for appointments shows me the missing items and
I can even click on the "view in outlook" option but making a change
and saving it gives me this message :

"The reminder for "this apt" will not appear because the item is in a
folder that doesn't support reminders. Is this ok?"

Obviously I didn't delete them but somehow they are gone - where does
Calendar put things when it hides them?

I had all the data on my Samsung smartphone but the minute I connected
via Bluetooth, even though sync settings are supposed to sync both
ways, all the appointments have been deleted off the phone too. And of
course my synchronised calendars have no data now either.

Please help me put my events back in their right place?

I have not rebooted the computer since yesterday. Vista Business.
Outlook 07.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Jo

ps in the last week or so Outlook has started asking me if I want to
save changes when I exit. What's that about?

hit Ctrl+6 - how many calendar folders are there? I'm thinking the phone
created a second calendar. You can use the By Category view to view the
second calendar (the one that says reminders won't fire) and drag them to
the other calendar.

Save changes on exit means something is messaging with the outlook email
template - acrobat and other addins are usually the culprit.

Hi Diane, thanks for your reply.

Here's the weird thing. I clicked on Go to Deleted Items and found all
my categorised appts in there. So I've moved them to their rightful
place in Calendar, but I am totally mystified as to how they got
deleted in the first place.

Last night I was looking at them, this morning they were deleted. And
the timing was so strange - almost everything from yesterday onwards,
but not absolutely everything. Computers do strange things sometimes,
but that's really odd, wouldn't you agree?

But why? I've used the same sync processes for the last four months
without any problem.
