Appointments Not Showing on Daily Calendar

When I create an appointment on a daily calendar, it disappears when I hit
the enter key. The appointment is there because if I go to the scheduler
function, I see the time slot allocated. I've seen this before and corrected
it by changing some Outlook menu setting, but can't remember how I did it.
Changing the setting suddenly causes all appointments to be visable. Thanks
in advance.
