Appointments now "read-only"

Hi All,
Have been using Outlook 2003 since Dec 03 in a 15 user
accounting firm with no problems.
Now when attempting to edit/change an appointment of a
another users shared calender, it shows as a "read-only"
file.
What would cause this? How to fix?
