appointments shown on wrong day in Outlook Today (Outlook 2000)

I have recurring appointments set up for Fridays. My Outlook Today view is
for 7 days. My Friday appointment is showing up under Today, no matter what
today is. If I add another appointment in on any day between "today" and
Friday, then the recurring appt will show up correctly in OT as on Friday.
How do I fix this? I'm using Outlook 2000 on Win XP.
